i have a 2000 dodge neon that had window tint removed and left sticky stuff on the back window. i would like to put new tint on it. how do i remove the residue?I have a car that window tint removed how do i remove the stickyness on the window?
Razor blade the best -fastest and easiet way, follow with a good cleaner like windex.
The window tint glue is water base. Use glass cleaner and a NEW single edge razor blade. Soak the window with the cleaner, wait about 30 seconds %26amp; scrape.I have a car that window tint removed how do i remove the stickyness on the window?

there is a product in most stores that sell tint that is made for that,I have a car that window tint removed how do i remove the stickyness on the window?
If you're going to have the tint put in by professionals, thay'll clean it, If you're going to do a home-made job, then you can try WD-40.
Alcohol, or you can get a product called Gum Out (or something like that) at OfficeMax or Staples.
Try Nail Polish Remover
go to the hardware store and buy some adhesive cleaner...you probably don't need the heavy duty one's like goo gone. i would almost say to try vineger...that might work. but if not, just go buy a liquid adhesive cleaner. or using a new blade and water, clean it off.

I think you can get it at the grocery store or hardware store.
Acetone will work. Don't get any on the interior though. Put some on a rag and then wipe it off,
I would try the products that are for this purpose. If you do use a razor blade, use a new one and DO NOT drag the blade backwards. ALWAYS forward. The reason is, dragging it backwards can cause any hard particals to scratch the glass as they are drug under the blade, where going in the forward direction "lift's" the particals up onto the blade. Soapy water also helps lubricate the blade and less chance of scratching.

Good luck!
