When you take your car to a mechanic to put window tint on it does the mechanic take off the door panel?

I disagree. Some tinting is applied on the inside, which would require removing the inner door panel. A simple sheet of tinted film could easily be scraped or scratched from the outside and that doesn't make sense.When you take your car to a mechanic to put window tint on it does the mechanic take off the door panel?
No. They don't even open up the door unless you want tint on the inside which is dumb. They just put it on the outside.
