Is there a new nationwide car window tint law?

My friend keeps telling me that there is a nationwide window tint law that allows a 30% tint in the front windows. I've been looking it up but can't find anything. By the way I'm from new york where law is 70%.Is there a new nationwide car window tint law?
Nope. State by state.

There's no money in it for Washington to get involved. Yet.Is there a new nationwide car window tint law?
Many states do not allow front window tint at all ( Fl and Ca are 2). The reason is that police have been killed by people with guns behind the windows. In some states front tinted windows are a primary stop in others you have to be stopped for another offense before you will get a ticket.

If it was legal it would be offered as a popular factory option on new cars. I have never seen it driving by any new car lots.Is there a new nationwide car window tint law?

this site will break it down for you state by state. no nation wide law. this is why automobiles come from the factory with hardly any tint to the windows on most 4 door and 2 door models, only the back windows on 2 door cars and trucks come with factory tinting because some states allow no tint at all on the front windows.
No, states have the right to make their vehicle and driving laws that's why each state have different laws in these areas. It's common sense no need to look it up on the internet.
