What is the best type of window tint film for cars? Internal or external?

I want to know the best type of window tint film for a car. As you can get internal and external film. I don't want to end up with a film that starts to peel off and have air bubbles after the first warm dayWhat is the best type of window tint film for cars? Internal or external?
Internal, but it's more difficult to fit properly.

The answer to air bubbles is to ensure that it is properly applied, and the best way to ensure that is to ensure the windows are spotless before fitting, spray a very weak solution of washing up liguid on the glass, and ensure that you squeegee the film onto the glass firmly.

External film is subject to the weather, among other things, and easily damaged by stone chips etc.

If you put film on the outside of the window it will get so hazy you cannot see out, and will be forced to scrape it off again. I use to do window tinting at a car audio shop.

My sugestion is to have it done with good quality film like lumar, and done by a professional tinter.
Internal is by far the bet way to go, however my advice is to get it fitted professionally. Its a real pig to fit and looks rubbish if fitted poorly.

I'd say internal. If you're doing it yourself, air bubbles will just have to be something that you'll have to learn to get rid of. One way was taking a straight pin to pop the bubble and go over it to smooth it out.

At the top, the old standby was apply a coat of clear nail polish to it to help it from peeling off. Only thing was you might get funny looks when buying it.

In some states, the darkness of the tint is regulated by law.

And, if you make mistakes, it's a mess to take off and get all the sticky stuff gone.
