Can you use window tints to tint your rear lights?

can you use window tints to tint your rear lights? and what area's or your car are you allowed to tint? ( windscreen, passenger side window, rear window, etc) and also what is the legal amount you can tint in new zealand? thanks to everyone! Can you use window tints to tint your rear lights?
wouldn't advise it!

Lights be they back or front are there for a purpose.......................so YOU can see and OTHERS can see you! Tint them and these 2 things cease!

Windows MUST allow a specific amount of light through side windows are 72% back window can be darker (but I wouldn't advise it) front must be 95%

only way I know to test is with a camera type light meter

This is as per UK ruling NZ "may" be similar your local licensing office will confirm

Check it out FIRST as a fine and a ticket may result if you dontCan you use window tints to tint your rear lights?
