Does window tint go inside or outside the car?

I'm planning to tint my window before i make any calls or do research on who does the best job. i just want to know where does window tint go? Inside or outside the car? Any more info on window tinting would be appreciated. Btw, i do know the state laws on window tinting, I'm from California.|||Inside! and good luck with that, it's not as easy as it sounds. It will scratch and tear really easy and once you have the soap out from under it it's on! So try not to put to much pressure on it and try not to wrinkle, crease or get dirt under it and do not leave any air pockets!|||Goes on the inside .

When you go to put it on put soapy water in a spray bottle (the directions will tell you to do that) and spray GENEROUS amounts on the window you are working on. Useing alot of water makes it easier to get all of the bubbles out since it's easier to smooth out bubbles of water than bubbles of air. if you find that you are having trouble getting the bubbles out then pull it back and spray more soapy water on it.|||on the inside,it wont hold up on the outside of it,you get directions with it when you buy it so follow those and you,ll do fine with it,good luck.|||inside, it is possible to put it on the outside, but it will never come off. and it will get all dry and faded, and soon you wont be able to see outside either. Trust me. put it on the inside.|||It goes on the inside
