How do I keep window tint from peeling?

I put window tint on my house windows %26amp; all the edges are peeling up. I followed the directions, but it won't stay down. I am about to resort to spray adhesive. I spent like $45 for the roll of film %26amp; I want it to stick!|||Good advice so far. .but let's assume that you want to keep using that cheap stuff you bought!

First wait until the glass is cooler (Sun on the other side of the house) Then apply some elmers clear glue and use a hard card to press slowly down on the film. If this doesn't work. .remove the film and try again. .when the glass is cooler.|||reapply the tint evey time it peels!! DUH!!! LOL (:|||you should get it professionaly instaled. it might cost more but it will last longer i would bet.|||Did you absolutely, positively clean each pane all the way out to the edges? The fact that the edges are failing suggests that complete cleaning (which is easier on a car than on home windows) was not done, so the very thin layer of stickum on the plastic was unable to grip the clean glass. Normally, you want a 1/16" gap around the edge and the glare from this is especially noticable on houses.

Spray adhesive will probably change color in the sun and reduce the visibility - try spraying it on another untinted window that gets about the same sun and see what happens in a week before using it on the tint.|||did you leave a small gap between the edges of the film and the window frame? it can't be tight to the wood or plastic frame, the water has to be able to drain out as the film sets and adheres to the glass. i had that happen on one of the windows on our van, and the guy just trimmed the film with his exacto knife and there were no more problems. good luck.|||It's either the tint is of poor quality or the prep wasn't done adequately.

Hit up some research on the tricks of window tinting
