Does a window tint ticket carry with the car or the person?

My mother was driving my car and got pulled over by a cop. He gave her a ticket for illegal window tint. It was 16%. Limit in GA is 30%. I need to drive the car for school in a day. If i was to get pulled over later will the officer know that my car has already been ticked for illegal tint? Or will he look under my name and see there has been no offenses? I have a clean record as of now.|||All of the other answers are vague and wrong. As a law enforcement officer in Ga i can tell you that it won't show up that your mother was ticketed and yes you and anyone else driving the vehicle could receive a ticket for it everytime you get pulled over. I know its a pain to get taken off, but that's your best bet. It only applies to the front windows, the back windows can stay the same. Also until you get the opportunity to have it removed I would drive with your windows down.|||The violation will be tagged on your mother's record. Note that the officer can charge you as well (if he pulls you over), assuming the tint is in fact illegal. It's not likely he will see the previous violation on a routine check. If the matter goes to court, they will probably pull the license plate related charges and it will be visible then.

The actual charge is considered an unsafe driving charge, as you are operating equipment that does not meet state standards.|||Both. The ticket will be in the computer system for the car and your mother. Police computer systems tend to keep all that information.

As for already being ticketed. Tickets are not a free pass to continue driving an illegal car. If you are stopped, you will likely be ticketed, no matter what was done with your mother or car previously.|||It is a crime to DRIVE a car with heavily tinted windows, not to own such a car. Every person that drives your car on the highway is committing a minor crime.|||It will be on your mother's personal record as driving with obstructed view. A moving violation.
